Foreclosure Solutions
Our firm specializes in the representation of homeowners in various stages of foreclosure actions. We are experienced in all phases of litigation against bank foreclosures.
We offer several options to help our clients prevent home foreclosure and mortgage crises. Primarily, we offer services to individuals who are behind on mortgage payments and already in foreclosure. Clients who have missed the last three months or more of their mortgage payments are at risk of being subjected to foreclosure proceedings. Our firm specializes in defending homeowners against bank seizure. Individuals who do not defend against bank foreclosure are often forced to pay banks the difference between the sale price of the foreclosed house and the debt owed to the bank at the time of sale.
Taxation
Our firm can serve as a resource for structuring transactions and providing tax counseling. Attorney Kenneth S. Pelsinger has extensive experience as a former consultant of the Internal Revenue Service and member of the New York City Department of Finance Tax Certiorari.
We regularly work in conjunction with Certified Public Accountants and insurance and investment professionals to develop a sound business and personal tax plan for our clients. Our firm has significant experience representing business taxpayers in challenging assessments of overvalued real and personal property.
Bankruptcy
Our firm bankruptcy practice helps clients offers a helping hand to individuals facing financial hardship. We represent individual and small business debtors in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases. Our firm focuses its practice to Chapter 7 bankruptcy, often referred to as "straight bankruptcy", and Chapter 13 bankruptcy law, a reorganization process that typically allows debtors to keep their property by making monthly payments that are distributed to creditors by a bankruptcy trustee. In addition, there are some cases that income tax can be discharged in a bankruptcy proceeding, avoiding the need to file for an offer and compromise. These alternatives provided by our law firm will enable our client to have a fresh start and alleviate stress during some of the most financially difficult times.
